1. What does your agency do?
  The Governor's Office for Consumer Health Assistance assists consumers in solving problems related to medical management and workers compensation claims management.
 
2. Is there a fee for your assistance?
  No.
 
3. Can I file a complaint on the phone or over the Internet?
  Yes, you can file your complaint, by telephone, by form on our Internet web page, or in writing.
   
4. I have no health insurance and have many medical bills, can you help?
  We may be able to provide you with resources for the uninsured that you may call. However, we do not provide financial assistance to the uninsured.
   
5. My insurance company is refusing to pay some medical bills. What do I do?
  First, contact your insurance company directly and ask to speak to a member services supervisor. They will try to help to explain the situation and resolve the problem.
   
6. My doctor ordered tests and the health plan says they will not pay. What can I do?
  Contact your HMO member services supervisor (obtain a name, date and time of call). Attempt to resolve the problem directly with the HMO
